Bestmed Madibaz field competitors Ischke Senekal (discus and shot put) and Kelly Kingwill (long and triple jump) will join long-distance runner Mariano Eesou in the national squad for the event in Chinese Taipei, which starts on August 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They form part of a USSA delegation of 180 sportsmen and women who will be competing in 10 sporting codes at the 29th<\/sup> edition of the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Madibaz Sport athletics manager Nellis Bothma said it was the first time they had three athletes in the national squad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe are very proud of our athletes and this is a great opportunity for them to show what they can do at an international level,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cOur ladies, in particular, have been excellent this year, with the team coming second in the university championships.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bothma added that the athletes had been rewarded for their hard work with the USSA selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cI also want to thank the coaches for the work they have done to ensure our athletes can compete with the best.
